French Fashion

So, I recently got back from my vacation to France (and a day trip to Monaco). I visited Nice, Cannes, Grasse, St. Paul de Vence, Versailles, and of course Paris. Let me just tell you, French fashion definitely beats the U.S! Everyone there looks so put together; it's great! But here's the deal on my pictures- I was so nervous to ask people if I could take their picture, because my French is NOT perfect, so I was only able to get a couple shots when I didn't have to ask the people. Sorry! I hope this gives you a least a little peak of what the fashion is like there.

A street performer in Montmarte. He just seemed to fit the neighborhood so well, and I loved his leather bomber jacket, and how he wore his scarf. Plus, anybody looks cool playing guitar.

This was another photo I took in Monmarte, and actually this lady and her son just happened to be in it on accident! With a little cropping, I guess now it's a picture of them. Of course, she's wearing a beret! Her all black look is great, especially her baggy jacket, and leather boots. Plus, her son is so cute with his matching brown scarf and hat.

I apologize for this photo being blurry, but I had to put it up here because my tour guide for the Galimard Perfumerie in Grasse, was just too chic! Her blunt bangs are dramatic and sophisticated. The mix of textures with her jacket, sweater, and high-waisted skirt is fantastic. Also, I love her simple black boots, and the fact that she chose to wear tights.

Danielle and I will both be in France from December 28th-January 5th. If I'm not too nervous to try out my rusty French maybe I'll get some pictures of some French fashionistas! Au revoir!

Hello Yellow

Lindsey doesn't let the cloudy weather we've been having in Chicago darken her wardrobe with this cheery yellow coat, and knitted orange cap. The unique cut of her coat is nice, and I love her choice to pair the outfit with a green bag.

"The Redcoats are coming!"

Katie's red coat is the perfect piece for this time of year--festive and functional. The fit is great, especially with the faux belt accenting her tiny waist. Plus, her dark skinny jeans, and black flats let this coat steal the spotlight!
Sorry for the crappy picture, but I love the subtle military details of her coat. Perhaps these guys were her inspiration? ;)

Christmas Sweater Re-Vamped

Usually one would NOT think of a Christmas sweater as stylish, but Kimberly works it out by pairing it up with skinny jeans and grey suede boots. Plus, check out those purple earrings, and the sequins--two words--totally major!

Killer Skirt

Sam mixes a funky patterened skirt with a classic cardigan and t-shirt. The print on the skirt is fun with bright pops of color, and goes great with her cute earrings.

Look Ma, no pants!

Jordan keeps it fresh to death in this grey topcoat and dark brown leather boots. Show off the legs girl, own it!

Over and Under

With the winter months fast approaching, it is difficult to find the will to keep cute. Most are easily swayed to hide under puffy jackets and bulky layers. This jacket is a great example of how to stay fashionable and warm.

And this dress is the treasure underneath.

The "Is that a shirt, or a dress?" Dynamic Duo

Wearing an over-sized shirt is one of my favorite trends for girls. They can show off their legs, and save money on dresses! Caitlin and Christina look FIERCE in theirs, and flaunt their slim waists by belting the shirts. Caitlin (right) wears a red bandana as a headband, red plastic sunnies, a "FRANKIE SAYS RELAX" neon yellow tee, vintage black patent leather belt, and off-white vintage peep-toe heels. Christina (left) wears plastic sunnies with orange sides, a grey and black checked scarf with fringe, blue striped shirt, gold braided belt, and black leather boots.
